Great Bike But A Few Niggles

I’ve had my bike now for a month or so and ride it to work and back so I’ve had long enough to get this review written.
First off the good things; the bike is well made and the weight distribution is better than any other Ebike I’ve ridden and I’ve had a few!
The fatter tyres make me feel safer when cycling on the awful potholed roads and add stability that is lacking in narrower tyres for an older commuter.
The colour is great and I love the Dutch bike style as I feel more comfortable cycling in that position.
I bought the EU version of the bike which has allowed me to fit the throttle - this is a godsend for me as I have arthritis in my knees and cycling into strong head wind which is all we have seemed to have in the U.K. this year, used to cause me pain.
The front light is genius as it comes on automatically when it’s dark but turns itself off when it is light enough, I have never seen that on a bike before and it is honestly going to be fabulous for me in winter when I’m getting my bike out of my garage in the dark.
There are a few niggles I have though. Firstly that the top speed on the throttle is only 20mph. I know that seems fast but when you are on a long flat off road stretch and other cyclists are still flying past you, it could do with a bit more oomph to the throttle (the only time I use the throttle is on that stretch. I can actually feel the bike wanting to go faster but the throttle restricts the speed to around 19.8mph
Secondly the battery life is poor. My other bike which is a modified Giant Liv Entour ebike only needs charging once every 6-7 cycling days, but my Ado Air 28 requires charging every 3-4 days even though my journey is less than 3 miles each way. The throttle just drains the battery so quickly, yet if I just use it as purely pedal assist I can reach a higher speed than the throttle allows and the battery drains slower.
The seat supplied is not that comfortable so I need to change it for the one that was supplied with my giant as that is far more comfortable to sit on.
The app is awful, it is really hard to get it to work properly and connect to my bike. Unlike the app supplied for my electric moped, the Ado app doesn’t remember your bike and you have to re-connect it every time you want to ride the bike. There are settings on the app that I have no idea what they are for, such as ‘pure power’ and whether that is something I can utilise or not.
All in all, I am very happy with my Ado Air 28 but the few niggles I have are disappointing and detract from what is overall a well designed, well proportioned ebike. I would still recommend buying this bike over the ebike offerings from Giant etc for female cyclists.
To summarise, more speed from the throttle, better battery life and a better app would be good and would make this ebike one of the best on the market for female users!

Very Robust and Well Made Bike

Easy to assemble although the front mudguard stays needed some minor fettling to fit. It is comfortable and easy to ride. The riding position is easy to just right. The motor on the Pro gives a useful boost. I’m happy with my purchase.

Nice basket although on the heavy side

The basket looks great and is nice and deep to fit things. It fits on the bike well if at a very slight angle rather than perfectly straight on the frame. Unfortunately it's very heavy, around 3kg which is a shame but won't stop me using it.

Love my Ado Pro 28 ebike

I’ve had this bike now for a month.. and love it! I installed a basket and junior seat. I used it for work but also to run errands in my hilly neighborhood. The tire punctured once but then took it to Halford to fix with slime and all is good. So far I have no issues. The battery last for awhile.. and the bike looks good

Does the job

The basket is quite heavy but is really sturdy. I like the liner in the base which stops items from falling through,
My first impression that it wasn't big enough was proved wrong with subsequent use, it does the job.
